ERMASS Annual Meeting & ANDJIGA–DIFFO–MOULEN Prize

The 2026 ERMASS Annual Meeting will take place from August 3 to 5, 2026, at the École Normale Supérieure of Yaoundé, and will include a conference (or scientific gathering) and the first edition of the ANDJIGA–DIFFO–MOULEN Prize. The conference will bring together researchers, practitioners, and students to discuss recent advances across all aspects of economic theory and applied microeconomics, including, but not limited to, Game theory and Mechanism design, Social choice, Econometrics (theory & applied), Development economics, and Border economic studies. During the meeting, students will also benefit from networking and practical career advice and insights from early- and senior-level professionals working in academic and professional institutions across the world.

The ANDJIGA–DIFFO–MOULEN Prize, awarded by ERMASS, is closely associated with this annual event. It seeks to promote fundamental research and the practical application of mathematics to address pressing social and economic challenges, particularly in Africa. The prize also supports outstanding contributions in research and student mentoring, recognizing both early-career and established scholars whose work exemplifies excellence in applied mathematics.

Two distinctions will be conferred as part of this inaugural edition: the Best Article Award, which honors an innovative and rigorously developed paper published in a reputable peer-reviewed journal, and the Honorary Award, which recognizes a distinguished career that has contributed significantly to the advancement of research, mentoring, and scientific development in Africa. The award ceremony will be held during the scientific gathering, and prize applications must be submitted separately from conference registration.
